MyClinic365’s response to Covid-19

Free Telehealth software for Irish GP’s during Covid-19 emergency 20th March 2020.

Today Irish company MyClinic365 has announced that it will donate its telemedicine platform to doctors and allied healthcare professionals for free for the duration of the Covid-19 emergency.

The platform enables doctors to schedule, manage and collect payments for remote tele-consultations with patients for either Covid-19 or non Covid-19 health issues. All the patient needs is either a smartphone or a PC and an internet connection.

MyClinic365 was founded by an Irish GP, Dr. Laura Malone. This week, Dr Malone successfully switched patient appointments at her own practice KillarneyGP, to remote telehealth appointments to minimise the risk of person-to-person transmission.

She said “We have seen an immediate benefit at our practice, and we thought donating the use of this telehealth platform for the duration of the emergency is the least we can do in the fight against Covid-19“.

The HSE has now agreed payments with GP’s for remote consultations. MyClinic365 is now available free to any healthcare professional in Ireland for unlimited patient telehealth consultations during the current health crisis.

Each practice can typically be up and running in less than 10 minutes. No special software or setup is required beyond a PC and a decent internet connection.

Patient confidentiality is securely protected and platform is fully GDPR compliant.

MyClinic365 would also like to acknowledge the AWS Activate programme and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team, who have provided us with AWS Activate credits to ensure we can provide this service for free during this crisis.
